My favorite medium is definitely prismacolor. For the longest time, my favorite medium was graphite pencil and I loved the control I got while shading and blending each object together. I have slowly gravitated away from that throughout this school year during both drawing and art 2 and have found my passion with prismacolors. I love how easy it is to control the prismacolor and how it doesn't smear everywhere like pastels or graphite pencils. I have loved layering and being able to bring out new colors in objects that I don't usually see. For example, in my avocado I brought out purples in the seed that I don't usually see by just glancing at it. I also brought out different shades of yellow in things like the lettuce of my burger. I learned how black and white aren't really colors you need to use in order to create darks and lights, and are actually harsher than I thought with creating shading.

My least successful piece this semester was definitely my printmaking piece. I overall feel like I rushed the different colors and should've spent more time carving an planning out my lines and colors throughout this piece. I don't like how sloppy it turned out, especially with lining up the bars on the golden gate bridge with the other colors. I feel like I should have spent more time focusing on lining everything up and that is what would've made this piece successful. I like the colors and values I used, I just don't like the way I lined things up on this piece, which is what definitely turned my piece from something good to unsuccessful.
